I needed the break to fully realign my life. So I requested for Cuti Rehat from my superior which was thankfully granted. I even made a list of what I wanted to do during the break. I have spent 2 of the days and this was what I did.
Massage at SinggahSiniSpa
It is really hard to find a good masseuse. One who knows how much pressure to put on your body. To be honest, I really liked the ones I have overseas. The pressure is just nice, perhaps as they have more experience massaging Western tourists. Local masseuse tend to press on your body too much despite you telling them to ease it.
At SSS, it was not too bad although I did came back a bit sore at certain parts of my body. As a start, I loved the place. It was very aesthetic, smells nice and the music they played on the screen made it so serene and relaxing. The place looked exclusive!
I did the full body massage for 45 minutes priced at RM80. I knew I was in for a good session from the beginning. The lady massaged my heels and the pressure was so on point, I felt so relaxed right away. She even gave me an effective ‘crunchy’ sound down my spine as she pressed down on it gently. That was when I knew I’d probably slouched too much while sitting down.
Wash & Cut at Heritage Hair Salon
A new semester calls for a new beginning. Hence, the hair cut. Plus, I wanted a scalp and shoulder massage badly. This time I went to their new branch at Lorong Pandan. It was a small and dainty place. There were no customers whilst I was there and so I had like an hour session of cutting and washing my hair. I could tell that the young lady was less experienced than the owner herself cause in the hands of the original lady owner, your head feels so free and light that you’d feel so smart. LOL.
I cut off my long locks of hair and now I look like an aging Rogue (X-Men) with a streak of grey hair at the front. Kinda cool, actually. The trip to the salon costs me only RM35.
Other activities
Incidentally, I found a nearby nursery that sells the Vonya soil and it only costs me RM6 per bag. I bought two. Since parking is easy, I would most likely get my soil supply there in the future.
I did my groceries in Tesco. I had a wonderful cashier. She scanned my items nicely at a considerable pace and did not disrupt the arrangements of my goods. I was such in a good mood spending grocery money that I decided to get cat food for the stray cat that checks in once in while under my gazebo. I am desperate to give that cat a bath.
I treated myself to breakfast at a kopitiam and had a hearty breakfast. White coffee, nasi lemak, 2 half boiled eggs and a single Kaya/Butter toast. Very huge appetite! For moi !
Then, at home I rearranged the bookshelves and exercise equipment. I couldn’t help bragging to my husband that I could move the machine. All it needed was sheer will and incredible strength. I am in the middle of doing a make over of my personal study into a mini library for the family. I think it’s good influence for the kids.
I am anticipating a lively weekend too. We will be celebrating birthdays! Hooray..
