I have heard of Manny Pacquiao. I knew he was one of the greatest boxers in the current decade.
I have also heard of Sandara. She is in a girls’ group 2NE1. She still looks like she’s in her 20s when in fact she is approaching 40!
Having watched snippets of this variety show on Youtube, made me want to know more about Manny’s career and his philanthropic activities. The ‘human encyclopedia’ did a great job of piquing the audience’s interest in Manny. Sandara was also an interesting figure as she is South Korean but can speak Tagalog fairly well. Idols from SK are so smart. They learn languages, songs and choreographies very fast. Their intelligence is super high in the artistic domain.
In an interview, Suga BTS was once asked if he was given a chance, which song would he like to record or again or remaster as they call it. Namjoon made an educated guess by saying that Suga would record none. To him, whatever was produced at the time was the best version and effort they have put into the piece. I understood his point.
You should always create an output, even in daily life, your best. The best meal. The best of yourself and others. Of course, there are times when you are not at your best but always do something that will make you proud in the future. It will not be perfect but it will showcase your personal growth in mind and matter.
There are plenty of tips online on how to grow your Youtube channel. The most popular one I came across from a lot of video gurus is to be consistent in your uploads. Some even suggest daily uploads of anything. I don’t think I could do that as it will compromise quality and what I hope to show on my channel. So, this is the best I can do – weekly or 2 weekly uploads.
When I first heard this song on the radio – I imagined it was sung by a Caucasian singer, Taylor Swift to be precise. It emitted the kind of vibe that she would associate herself with. Turns out it was Rose, a member of BlackPink who speaks in a terrific, sexy Australian accent.
I love this song. No wonder it has more than 120M views.
A classic by one of the best songstress in the country who existed during the times of Siti Nurhaliza. She is actually the queen of R&B, so to hear about this collaboration with Aubrey Suwito to record a Malay Classic album is somewhat refreshing. This rendition of Tari Tualang Tiga for example is just wow. Legend says they recorded the whole album LIVE with the orchestra outside of the studio. Meaning, those video clips you see of these songs is them recording concurrently.
The local music scene needs to pay more attention to this young man. He is like a young Faizal Tahir – have been reading comments on Youtube saying that his existence has FT’s DNA’s attached to it. Indeed. Amir Masdi after all was the champion for Akademi Fantasia some time ago, it’s just that the other winners in his batch kind of overshadowed him with their endless controversies (and talent). With his recent participation in Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL), it should open more doors for him.
I have never actually watched this KDrama but hearing this for the first time on Youtube during one of those random clicks got me attached strongly to it. The video clip was enough to make me understand the meaning behind this soundtrack. It is not Kdrama if it doesn’t make you cry.
This guy was first known (to me) as an actor. Turned out he was equally talented in singing and composing. For a newcomer to the industry, it was an underdog accomplishment when he won AJL 34 with his song, Sumpah. AJL is this popular annual music competition, organized by TV3 in Malaysia since 1986 (wikipedia). We get really hyped about this competition, make predictions and such.
That’s it for now. I haven’t heard a good Chinese, Japanese and Spanish song for quite some time. Before it was a time of Rosalinda, MIs Tres Hermanas, Richie Ren, Ayumi Hamasaki but now I seem to have lost touch.
Ever since I am on this 6 month weight loss programme – I have been binge-ing on watching Youtube videos of people doing mukbang all over the world. I still love my old time favourite Yuka Kinoshita but lately I have been enjoying a Korean youtuber who calls herself Kani. Her channel is G-NI. Hers and Yuka are the few mukbang girls who eat deliciously yet polite. Any other recommendations?
I have seen a few local influencers trying to do mukbang but they appear gelojoh. hodoh. Not appetizing at all.
Watching mukbang is a guilty pleasure because I know that gluttony is prohibited in Islam. In this case I am referring to food as opposed to sexual desires. Islam has always advised its followers to be moderate when it comes to having a meal. After all excessive eating may lead to adverse health effects and various hadiths have even illustrated this.
I guess my obesity too stems from the fact that I ate a lot when I didn’t have too. Ha ha ha. The huge appetite surfaced out of emotional distress whilst some could be because I want to keep up with what is trending in the food industry nowadays. But I am slowing down now since I am trying to (still) reach my BMI of 25. This has got to be the longest commitment I have ever made with regards to losing weight. I am just hoping it will work as I have 4 months to go and I am tired.
