If you keep coming back for someone/something – you might as well just marry him get it. It’s a guilty pleasure but I finally caved in. I opened myself a SODA account with POSMALAYSIA.
Standing Order Deposit Account (SODA) loosely means I get to have the new stamps in mint condition delivered to my doorstep when they are launched.
Pros : I don’t have to walk to the post office beside my hospital and stand in queue just to get the stamps.
Cons : I tend to receive them late – like in a fortnight.
Philatelist is a big word. I would not consider myself as one. I just want the stamps for suka2 purposes. So I could give more life to the parcel kasih sayang I send to my girls. Perhaps this year we could spread more love to birthday cards. Facebook wishes ain’t cool enuff. Old people like us use snailmail. *curl lil biceps* HIhi.
There were a few choices of items I could order with regards to the stamps. Based on Google – I learnt that MINT means new stamps . Those kind of smarty pants terminology ya know.
I was baffled as to which ‘set’ I should choose. I later chose the
- Complete set of stamps (MINT)
- Stamp sheet (MINT)
This means I have to dust off my stamp book at my mother’s home and bring it over to mine – hohoyeah.
It seems that a lot of people I know are celebrating their birthdays in February – HAPPY BIRTHDAY folks!
The next editions are Traditional Malay dances… that should be interesting.. hmmm.. should I reactivate my postcrossing account now..
