Hobonichi Weeks MEGA 2020. Making mine Malaysian-ish

As mentioned before , my Hobonichi’s name is HoboMinci regardless of the type of planner I choose to use for the particular year. In 2020, I would be trying the Weeks Mega for the first time and see how it fares compared to my current Cousin Avec. I love that Cousin Avec has the kind of layout I need but in terms of portability, it can be quite a challenge to bring around especially when it’s bulking up. Perhaps Mega Weeks would bring out that more professional look to it as a so called organized person. Duh.

This video is also available on my Youtube channel

As usual, once I receive my hobonichi, I would need to make a few tweaks to it. Most importantly, the public holiday part of it.

I will need to update this calendar once the schedule for school holidays come out
Last year, I used this space to track and plan my blog post here on WordPress. It did not turn out so well. I was not consistent. This year I will be using it to track my studies, classes and courses since I am only getting 1 planner this year.
The monthly spread to jot down birthdays and important events. The space is small. I will have to write in an 8 sized font. LOL.
My emergency contacts!
My 100. I am going to use it to list down my bucket list of various categories. Perhaps a new book, a vacay location, someone famous to meet, or a special event!

Hobonichi also has a few informational pages which looks interesting. Only, I haven’t learn the language. MAYBE just maybe I would try to pick up on it since my friends in school could read, write and speak it in just 2 years. I took Arabic instead of Japanese during that time. Those who chose the Japanese language had really fun lessons and sensei! We, the ‘Arabs’ and ‘French’ were terribly jealous. Haih.. japanese boyfren come translate for me the pages and teach me..

I really hope I got this last page right. The biodata page..

Big Bad Wolf is coming to Melaka soon. It would be a good time to search for language books, coffee table books etc.. perhaps studying Japanese could be on my bucket list next year on top of Mandarin. Until that happens, sayonara for now.

HoboMinci. Busy weekends in a row.

First there was that sudden, last minute holiday to Macao. Anything that pops up my schedule unknowingly within 2 weeks is last minute. I prefer a form of preparation for at least a month to get my stuff sorted out. I hate surprises that disrupts my schedule.

Then there was the clinics family day. I was awarded the most popular doctor but that could be because I haven’t actually scolded or reprimanded everyone yet. I bet they will change their mind once I’ve stayed put at this place for at least another year. Ha ha ha.

Finally there was also that holiday trip to Universal Studio Singapore. I will write later on the hotel that we stayed in and about the trip itself.

And today I had a work-related course which took up my whole day. I am so exhausted with all the listening especially it being a very heavy topic. It is about management of HIV patients. I like the new insight and is excited about the new knowledge cause I never handled personally HIV patients in my clinic as the more senior ones are in charge.

But the day got to a point where I am just.damn.tired.

I think I am going to continue watching my K-Drama now, Terius Behind Me. Yup, I am on a So Ji Sub obsession right now.

PAM’s Planner Soiree happened last weekend but I was not there

The Planner Addict Malaysia  (PAM) committee members organized a 12 hour soiree last weekend, offering workshops, talks, food and swag bags for attendees. The fee was appropriate but Timing was not really on my side. It’s not that I had a big event happening. It’s just one of those Weekend Dilemma for a woman with hobbies.

It’s one of those guilty feelings of having to leave your kids to attend something non compulsory. Especially when you have just attended another one the weekend before. Or you’re scheduled for another weekend activity without the kids in 2 weeks time. To be honest, I don’t really know how to explain.

Somehow it is fine to work on something at home with the kids around you despite them probably on a video game or just messing up your folded laundry. ha ha ha.

The Planner Soiree welcomed kids to the event too but with no other adult with me to help watch the kids while I do my thing, it was not possible. Plus, I don’t think both Ninie and Ee would enjoy being confined in a strange place for 12 hours. Anyway, I heard that the Swag Bag was a hit. I’d really like to see what is inside. If you happen to be a fellow PAM member, with a blog, writing about the event, please share me the link yahhh..

In the meantime, this is an attempt of me making a Plan With Me video using my Samsung A7. Its damn short. The length is enough for an IG post. ha ha.  I need to find a better angle. Better pics and music. We will build up on that skill InsyaAllah..

HoboMinci and side kicks

Salam and Hi. For those who have not known yet I affectionately call my hobonichi my Hobominci.

Yesterday I took the opportunity to declutter and rearrange the furniture and planner related stuff I have in my Minci Cave. As expected, there’s a lot of dust. I sneezed almost all the time but I managed to get the place in order about 70% I still have another 30% to go today. Naturally I got distracted looking into my washi tapes journalling cards and the thousand many things I have at my pretty table.

Later at night, I get to update my memory book in this particular floral book which was given by Zawaniz. I selected my photos from my archives in Google photos and that was when I realised that I don’t really have a lot of pictures with my husband. So it was very difficult to choose a photo of the both of us to go inside the book. In a way, this will remind me to snap more pictures of the both of us together.

I printed the photos on an A4 glossy paper using the Brother’s printer. I think I need to re adjust the printing settings to get the best quality photos.

Spend the best 2 hours in my Minci Cave. Today is another day of cleaning and sorting. What an awesome way to spend my Sunday.

Paskal (2018)

I should start making a list of Malay movies to watch If You Want To Start Watching Malay Movies. Paskal would be one of my recommendations.

Its an RM10 million budget movie used wisely. As viewers, we get to learn a thing or two about our elite military team. It is patriotic and I can see a future where this will be a staple movie programme on National TV every 31st August.

The plot was simple. And almost predictable. But it’s Okay coz just how many Malaysian movies can get you to the edge of your seat? Less than 10 aite.. unless you’re a big fan of MIG productions. Which I am not.

Paskal was nostalgic for me as well as it brought on memories of PKBM (L) in secondary school. I can still remember bits of the Gempur Wira song. The pic below is a page from my HoboMinci. Paskal deserved a mention in it.

A TEAM IS ONLY AS STRONG AS ITS WEAKEST LINK

To be elite team, the members must be elite as a person too. And can work as a team. I think everyone should walk out of the movie knowing that.
