I am very excited with this years Ramadhan. Maybe it’s because I had a Quran tagging session a month before which gave me the drive to pursue Ramadhan benefits. Furthermore, I joined a local cleaning group on Facebook by Hani Mynis.
This is after all Ee’s first attempt in fasting. We woke him up for sahur. We prepared his favourite food. We tried to make Ramadhan as comfortable and fun as we can for a 7 year old. We encouraged him to wear his best baju melayu for terawih although so far he hasn’t managed to go to any such prayers because he got sleepy. Ha ha.
I on the other hand, have been performing terawih at home. I love it. I can eat or feed the baby. I can do no.2 in between rakaats. I can take my time. I can perfect my surah reading and learn more surahs (InsyaAllah).
Have a nice Ramadhan everyone.
telekung, quran, post-it notes to mark fav ayats, scent for aromatherapy..
This is my Tarawih Kit for my salah at home. In the living room. With the dim yellow romantic lights (the kind that makes your selfie looks good) with my personal aromatherapy and air conditioning yoooooo!!
Seronok plak solat kat rumah.
I can keep an eye on my son. I can pause in between my rakaats to pee. To take a sip of water. To just lie down on the couch and soak in the silent of the night. To decide on the next surah to read. Then to continue my rakaat until Witr. Tak byk pun.. tak sampai 20.
How is your Ramadhan so far?
I came across a sad news today regarding the health of one of my good friends father. It makes me think how Allah caturkan kehidupan kita sedemikian rupa di sekian masa bersama orang yang kita sayang – so much so that experience, whatever it may be, will benefit all who interacts with each other in the name of Allah and Islam. Thus reminding us that we must always strive fora life of Rahmat and Barakah..so we can perceive the experience in Redha and Tawakkal. InsyaAllah.

This year round I am aiming to recite the Quran more. To be able to khatam the kitab would be great given my time and commitment issues but hey – anything is possible. Insya-Allah.
I also plan to give more Sedekah. To the unintiated like myself, Islamic Relief Malaysia website is a good start in being charitable. Insya-Allah.
Finally, if I may add.. I hope to loss a few pounds over this 4 weeks. Perhaps a pound, at least? Insya-Allah
To perfect my prayers
To practice waking up early. Like super early.
To do more charity.
And try to adhere to the Ramadhan Calendar
