TUDUNG BAWAL

I just discovered tudung bawal heaven today. At Bazaar Rakyat , Tesco Melaka.
I know! lumpy kan.. baru skrang nak discover.

I went to the store yang ada tulis JOHOR. The tauke had an Indonesian accent to her speech. Non-Hijabi but very very kind in her discounts. I would love to patron her store again. She was so generous and offered the slashed prices without me even asking for it. In fact, I was prepared to pay the printed price but hey, rezeki jangan ditolak.ย After all, I am buyingย 9 pieces of tudung !

Here’s a breakdown of the bawals I bought:

The plain bowel
RP: MYR 10/piece. No discounts

I spent a total MYR175 for the bawals. The best part is I get another MYR 5 discount!! So it was just MYR170. Alhamdulilah.. rezeki raya rah Kuching tahun tok.ย

Thank you Andalusia for taking care of my parents…

“Absence makes the heart grows fonder”

Alhamdulilah.. my elderly parents had returned safely from their Umrah last weekend. It worries me that both are ASA 2 and are travelling to a country with the Mers-coV outbreak at the moment. On top of that, they chose to stay and perform the fast in a very humid country.

However, I convinced myself that Allah knows best. And he will protect them regardless as they are going there to get closer to Him.

Prior to their departure, I had bought each of them a 1L water bottle to quench their thirst. Also, supplies of essential medication on top of their usual anti-hypertensives and anti-diabetic drugs. So it was a pack full of :

  • paracetamol
  • chlorpheniramine
  • benadryl
  • lomotil
  • metochlopromide
  • oral rehydration salt

… just in case.

In fact, these are part of my routine meds that I bring with me whenever I go travelling. I’d bring syrup paracetamol and kool-fever patches for my son too.

Despite my worries, I believe they are in the safe hands of Andalusia. After all, this is a reputable company with their Umrah packages. Mom told me they were in good hands and they have the experience to handle large groups of old people. They also provide complimentary classes prior going for the Umrah so that the jemaah would have a more meaningful ibadat there.

Now that my parents are back, I can’t wait to pay them a visit this weekend!

A simple Iftar

ย

The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things.

Words could not describe the joy seeing your son eat up the simple iftar menu with much gusto!

Mr Husband was being fussy on not wanting to have rice on the plate. So I had to think of ย an alternative. Thus, in my magic pot, I brought some spaghetti to a boil. Blobbed Prego sauce on top with bits of meatball and sprinkles of cheese and black pepper seeds. The outcome : a simple dish for breaking fast.

And the meal was prepped in less than 15 mins! Nice.

Any links or ideas for easy, simple meals? This working mother definitely needs help. Cheerios!

Online Contact Lense Store : MrLens

โ€œBeauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical.โ€
Sophia Loren

I bought my contact lenses online the other day from a Malaysian based website. MrLens must be tremendously happy ofย the effort made by beauty bloggers in recommending the website to potential customers. One such customer is myself having read beauty blogs by our very own Malaysian bloggers. And boy there were lots of them.

The website was clean and user-friendly. I loved that MrLens had a very wide array of options to choose from. It makes experimenting with a new brand seems like an adventure as I scroll through the specs and stuff.

The order was processed in a swift manner and I felt that the delivery charges were acceptable. Although I did not receive a free contact lense case, I still get a small gesture of thought in the form of free gummy bear candy. Auw,, so sweet! And it came in a ziplock bag to protect the contents from being spoilt.

Innovations are also taking place as they offer affiliate programmes, selling glasses online and even promoting body shop items at its site! So there are plenty more exciting things at hand.

Will I restock on my contact lenses from MrLens again? Yes, I will.

This year round I am aiming to recite the Quran more. To be able to khatam the kitab would be great given my time and commitment issues but hey – anything is possible. Insya-Allah.

I also plan to give more Sedekah. To the unintiated like myself, Islamic Relief Malaysia website is a good start in being charitable. Insya-Allah.ย

Finally, if I may add.. I hope to loss a few pounds over this 4 weeks. Perhaps a pound, at least? Insya-Allah
