
Melaka is welcoming a surge of tourists from all over the world recently. Fan Bingbing, a renowned actress from China was recently appointed as the ambassador for the Visit Melaka 2024 campaign. Indeed, tourists regardless of whether they come from China or other parts of the world, should have no qualms in visiting Melaka.
Most of us can converse in English and Malay. If you go to the designated tourist areas like Banda Hilir/Jonker Walk, you’ll find lots of locals speaking Mandarin too. However, if you venture out to places like Klebang or Alor Gajah, using broken English or Malay is easier. Fret not though cause nowadays we have Google Translate for everything. After all, depending on the type of experience you are looking for, there is certainly something for everybody here.
Since I am a Malay Muslim with a family, it’s only natural that I’d be promoting halal travel that is suitable for those with kids or older people.
