It is only February and I am already exhausted. I need to put some things as a priority as opposed to others. Having said that, I am putting a pause on making YouTube videos for now. It may be effortless for some to churn out lots of videos at one time but for me, I feel that other affairs need my attention right now. I am also not going to update my Facebook. Just like last year out of no apparent reason. Maybe it will be back to it’s usual chronicle spread later in 2025 when Yoongi is back from the military.
I will still blog here because it is part of my life. This is my original venting place.
Vigilante work requires money. A lot of money although this is open to argument depending on what one wants to achieve from their work. That was one of the take-away messages I got from the South Korean series – Taxi.
The other messages I get are;
You need some form of skills to carry out vigilante work
It’s a stressful vocation but worthwhile
There will be a blurring of boundaries on what differentiates a vigilante from a criminal
Vigilante work requires teamwork for it to be sustainable. Even Batman needs his loyal butler.
People commit varying levels of crime and evil people do exist.
I have a few more episodes to complete and I aspire to be like Mr Jang. The empathetic yet revengeful one with the money lays down the rules and has a keen eye for talent. I don’t really know how this story will end because my Netflix is down at the moment and I can’t really binge on it overnight.
I went to one particular salon twice last year to cut my hair but they were closed. I was very disappointed back then because the salon was supposed to open at 10am but they decided to open at noon on that day. I thought it was unprofessional.
Recently I discovered a new hair salon that caters for ladies only. It is at Paya Rumput, Cheng which is less than 10km from where I live although traffic can be horrendous on weekends. It was one of those impulsive actions that had to be done on a Sunday. I went to the salon after I completed my shift at a nearby clinic attending babies with neonatal jaundice.
I requested a cut + hair & scalp treatment at the salon. Initially, my hair was long until just after the lower border of my scapula. I had it chopped off to shoulder length. Then I continued with the treatment of my hair and scalp. I was done just after 2 hours. I paid a total of RM 285.00 for a service well received. I look forward to having my hair treatment done there next month.
So far I haven’t found a hair spa in Melaka where they just massage your head and shoulders and have those aesthetic gadgets that run water to your hair. Perhaps they are still training for it. Hence, hair treatments are an equally relaxing experience for my part.
My views doubled in 2023 in comparison to 2022. This is of course a personal achievement. My total view amounted to
4,288 views
December received a lot of visitors compared to other months with 785 views.
I find that a lot of people who stumbled upon mincimoss[dot]com are searching for reviews related to hotels and tourist attractions. That being said Leisure and Travel is my top category. I had thought that most people would be keen to look at those from Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. Turns out that some of you still prefer to read about it on blogs. To be honest, most of my stories about these places are very short because I just don’t have the stamina to write them in longer paragraphs.
I started blogging probably in 2005/2006. I look forward to another interesting year in 2024.
I am making a mental note that if I want to buy my favourite Muji planner – I should get it early. The one with the black cover is already sold out and I thought I was getting the one with the same layout, but it turned out it was wrong. I did not read the description properly.
I consoled myself that it was ok to get a red one but I had it all wrong. Wrong size. Wrong layout.
My favourite layout is the one with an all-year overview page, and the monthly and weekly pages in vertical view. I ended up with the horizontal view. Urgh. Will have to make do with it – better than nothing.
Looking forward to a fruitful and exciting 2024. My daughter will be entering formal schooling and my son is still waiting for placement for his secondary schooling. It is an anxiety-inducing moment for the parents as well. We are also not going on holiday as much as we want to because I have to compete with my colleagues for the quota per day.
For me personally, it will be my last year in the Psychology programme. I am already behind in 1 semester as I have not been able to take up as many subjects as I intend to. It is still a worthwhile experience and I am hoping to get my Final Year Project completed as soon as possible. I have yet to find a supervisor. As for my portfolios at work, I have already drafted out the itinerary of our programmes for 2024. I just need to clarify certain targets and goals.
