A home is a home only if you treat it like one. Otherwise, it is just another place to sleep, shower, and eat.
Similarly, family is family only if you start treating them like one. Otherwise, the spouse is just another roommate that you dine with every day. Children are just little human beings that you have to feed and bathe. A Hi or Bye is hard to come by. What more, with stories of everyday life. After some time, everyone is just tired of making an effort. Hence, amicable separation and co-parenting would probably be the best way to go.
I thought my husband was joking when he said we were going to have Sahur at a hotel. Turns out he wasn’t. Thus, the usual Speedy Gonzales packing method that I despise. I had no time to plan my OOTD and dumped whatever I thought was necessary in the suitcase for our staycation.
Ee couldn’t join us as it was not during his PB weekend. Hence, it was just the 3 of us being enthusiastic about the experience. Thankfully, Anim could wake up for sahur without any tantrum. In fact, she really enjoyed the food choices. As usual, the other Malaysians were in their modest pyjamas, kain pelikat and slipper jamban. In other words, guests made themselves so comfortable eating Sahur at Swiss Garden.
The price is reasonable for the type of food offered. I wish I had taken more pictures. InsyaAllah, we would opt for a similar Sahur experience next year instead of a packed Iftar buffet at hotels. Sahur seems calmer and more appealing to introverts like myself.
My niece celebrated her birthday at Marrybrown last month. I asked my sister how much the venue and the activities were. It was FREE.

The big family – I wasn’t in the picture because my daughter was acting up
All we had to do was order their food in advance to secure the booking. The event felt celebratory yet cosy at the same time, as it was only for family members. I departed from Melaka, only to arrive on time for the party at 11am. I bought Aurora a frock. I also gave my nephew a monetary gift for his great academic achievement at school.

As usual, I exchanged gossips stories with my sister, catching up with each other. It was amusing to see my youngest brother babysitting his niece and nephew on his wife’s side. They have yet to have their own. Overall, it was a pleasant day to spend with the Powerpuff siblings.
I received my FYP marks. I got 83. That’s an A. Although my GPA is in progress, I am already thrilled and elated with my scores. I felt that my hard work and unintentional breakdown episodes were justified.
The first person I thought of was my supervisor, Dr Juliana. I wanted to give her something as a token of appreciation for the relentless support and motivation given to me throughout my 1-year journey of doing FYP. It was no easy feat. Even in medical school, there was no similar concept of FYP involved. However, I do have to note that the final exams for medical school were killing me. Ha ha. Even then, FYP was a different ballgame altogether.
I searched for florists and gift shops within Dr Ju’s campus. My brain was finding it very difficult to fathom the geography of KL and Selangor. I had to use Google Maps to see if the shop was within acceptable delivery distance ranges. Finally, I spotted a place called Petals & Chocs at Seri Kembangan. An order was placed and I had it delivered to my supervisor at her campus.
I added another 3 roses to this gift selection.
Alhamdulilah, my supervisor received it well. It was the least I could do for her constant guidance and prayers.
Ramadan is coming soon. I have started searching for suitable gifts for my friends and family.
