“Part of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside.”
― Mark Twain

I would have lost in the preliminary rounds of Masterchef because of my mediocre culinary skills. But it does not stop me from browsing through the many recipes on the net. one of my inspirational food blogs recently has got to be BudgetBytes.

Budgetbytes is a blog that demonstrates meal preparation using simple stuff on a budget. Yup, pretty useful to me.

My favourite recipes from the blog so far are her Breakfast Oats.

Dinner : Daging Paprik and Telur Dadar

Its supposed to be my turn to pick up Baby from his grandmother. Mr Husband however sent me a last minute text message:

I’ll pick baby up. You have your own sweet time cooking

I was enthralled. Delighted. I was initially thinking of just getting sushi for dinner but now that I have more prep time.. I cooked Paprik and Omelette. Recipe courtesy of chef Hanieliza of course.

Effort paid off. Mr Husband loved his dinner very much. Despite being a novice in the art of cooking, I think the results fared much better than those cooks in stalls at Kuching.

This is called ‘air tangan isteri’. Woke up early to prepare the sambal based on the cookbook. I hope to memorise the recipe and keep it safely among the braincells in my head. Tasted delish.

Now just waiting for Mr Husband to come back from his overnight locum session.

cepatlah… lapa gilak da tok. dahlah bau sambal ya nyaman..

Yahhh.. despite giving a heads up to colleagues and staff regarding my current 14 days annual leave. I am still receiving calls from the hospital regarding patients and rosters. At times I feel like throwing the phone to Istanbul and hope Beto will send it back. Ngah ngah ngah. Shhhh..

On a lighter note, I am happy to have spent some quality time with Baby Zeeq who will be 1 years old this Saturday. Already, his mother, especially is super excited as I plan to organize this little party of 5 with him. yalah.. what to do? Mr Husband is not here with me as he is working very hard to accumulate his moolahs and assets.

Im not good with themes but I suppose no one could ever go wrong with chocolate cake.

My best friend Pinterest listed many good options I could try. The list starts from this ..
