I bought my stethoscope online and I received it in pristine condition

A nurse will always give us hope, an angel with a stethoscope – Carrie Latet

As a Working Mother, online shopping is indeed a great blessing. Especially on things that are difficult to get by, exhausting to get to or you want something personalised.

I needed a new Litmann stethoscope. My previous Litmann which has served me for a decade has gone deaf. Its earpiece including the replacements have torn. Browsing online I came across BukuMedik and with just a few clicks.. I managed to buy one that I like and had it delivered safely to my hospital. I felt the price was affordable considering how lazy I was to drive up to Kuala Lumpur just to get a stethoscope. It was sold for MYR245 including courier postage (POSLAJU). Which turned out to be very laju since it arrived in 2 days after it was sent.

Happy? Very happy little healer indeed.

Review : Photobook Malaysia

“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”
―    Karl Lagerfeld

Thanks to Groupon, I get to play Editor of my very own book.

My very own Seoul Photobook

My very own Seoul Photobook

Either Im being jakun or just perfectly honest, Im giving Photobook a 5/5 star.

I L.O.V.E it because;

  • the software was damn easy to navigate and use despite its slow loading time.
  • selection of covers and materials to make the Photobook much more alive was adequate.
  • delivery was super fast and it came in a well protected parcel – waterproof, sunproof, everything. The courier service was excellent and my book arrived in less than a week.
  • extra coupons for my next Photobook purchase of which I will use it wisely
  • price was reasonable AFTER Groupon. I wouldnt have purchased it for the initial price. Damn expensive, REALLY!

My next project will be Baby Zeeqs baby album. Yippee!!!

Ironman 3 : Reminds me to be smart and gather all the riches in the world for the better good to the people …

“Cmon, lets do something insane like save the world”

I did not put my hopes high for Ironman 3. Sequels to me, rarely supersedes the glamour and success of the earlier movie. But then we always have LOTR, Harry Potter series and Toy Story to prove me wrong. So, after the 2 hour length movie of Ironman 3, I was won over. Tony Stark outranks Bruce Wayne. Despite both being filthy rich, Id rather link arms with Tony Stark and go to the funfair as opposed tothe dark and gloomy Bruce Wayne.

A mass weapon of seduction Tony Stark may be, his most striking feature to me was his intelligence and the way he channeled his IQ. I was most impressed that he was able to build his own machine, develop his own theories/equations and not rely totally on other people to design his suits. He manhandled the suits themselves from programming, building, welding et cetera. That is pure genius.

And I see this as something very relevant in my daily practice. While I can instruct my nurses to prepare drug concoctions and serve them, I too must have that knowledge as to how its to be done correctly. It all goes back to the core. The basics of medicine.  Thus, I am inspired.

InsyaAllah, I will pay more attention to the little nuggets of knowledge and fill in the necessary gaps. To a smarter and wealthier me!!

Getting all frenzy on the farm

This game was installed to our units computer by one of the staff and us, Medical Officers have been using it as a ‘getaway’ from the stresses that arises within the unit. Much to my addiction, I have decided to install the game into my computer and this is where Im at , at the moment.

I have also learnt a few things from this game;

  1. When you have money  – you dont have the buy/upgrade everything. Just choose what you intend to purchase well. Weigh the risk and benefits. Despite the wisdom of not to overspend, sometimes you do have to fork out all the cash just so you could generate more income, faster!
  2. When you dont have money – you have to work from scratch. Start by rearing chickens and move upwards. And eventhough the ultimate goal is to say, buy a cow.. you have to make the chickens work hard for you.
  3. Its possible to meet the deadline.a.k.a the time limit. Only if you manage to prioritise your investments strategically.
  4. You may not get the idea of things the first time round. Unlike Life, there’s always a Restart button for this game.
  5. To progress, you must be willing to splurge some cash. Kaching!!

I have also been trying out the Zombie & Plants game. Likewise, a strategy sort of game. Now, if only I could get my hands of a free copy. That would be fun. Then we’ll see which one is more fun.

A repeat order for Wonderbox

Love  of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art.

Ralph  Waldo Emerson

Yes, I bought the January Wonderbox. Its supposedly the Valentines Edition. Awesome…

I totally loved my previous Xmas edition box. In fact, my favourite item was Clinelle’s Eye Bright and I have been using it every single day as part of my so called makeup routine. Ha ha. The least favourite item was the nail polish and Im hoping to give it away to someone soon. Simply because.. I dont wear nail polish.

If you’re wondering whether its worth the money for one of these Wonderbox.. I’d say it is. For you could get all these high end, costly stuff at a sample size for a reasonable price. MYR 39.90 with free delivery.
