Krabi 2016 The Itinerary

Part 1

This is our 2nd time returning to Krabi for a family holiday and Thai hospitality is still at its very best. Mr Husband kept saying Krabi is his 2nd home.It used to be Langkawi – begitu cepat sepah dibuang.

We took advantage of the Air Asia FREE tickets promo and booked our hotel rooms through the AirAsiaGo.Com website. We settled on a 4D3N itinerary for 2 Adults and 1 child (hotel + return flight) at a price of RM 692.22 including tax.

This is our brief itinerary and estimated costs. We skipped on certain island tours as we have done them before.

Other miscellaneous expenses include massage therapy, souvenirs etc. I personally did not go to any massage parlour because I was already exhausted at the end of the day. Mr Husband tried the coconut oil massage with a male masseuse (of course) and loved it. It was only THB 200 per session for 1 hour.

My mini checklist for Krabi 2016

Mr Husband exchanged RM 1000.oo for THB 8300.00 to fund our package trips there. I was to cover our dinner expenses and on anything personal I liked. Which amounted to less than RM 250 on my part 😛 I had to remind myself to get things for myself as well because I always seems to want to get stuff for other people first.

Anyway, my next blog posts will elaborate more on the hotel and the safari tours. I hope somebody will find it useful. He he..

Embracing the bedouin, nomadic thingy

“All travel has its advantages. If the passenger visits better countries, he may learn to improve his own. And if fortune carries him to worse, he may learn to enjoy it.” Samuel Johnson

“He who does not travel does not know the value of men.” – Moorish proverb

I crave to stay put in one place, for at least 5 years. I miss having a stable life. meaning not having to move around, making new friends, assimilating into a new environment every so often. Because its tiring. Kepak.. ko tauk? Kitak cayak sik mun kamek madah.. sampe kinek tok.. kamek nang sekda bilit dirikpun di rumah mek pun.. that is rumah mak bapak mek. kekadang rasa pilu tok pun ada. Sedih. Because eventhough you’re going home, its not really a home. For you have to bunk in some random siblings room or just opt to sleep out in the living room.

At least now in my in laws house, Mr husband and I have our own room. Our own privacy. And for that aku bersyukur. Although mun ada rumah, lagik best lah rasa. Hehe..

Despite me lamenting of wanting ‘stability’, I have to admit that I do take pride in knowing that at least I got to meet a lot of people and stayed in different places along the way. Due to my nomadic existence and line of work, I get to somewhat travel, make acquaintances and exchange experiences/ skills with people. Sarawak, Sabah, Selangor, Johor, Melaka. Mungkin mun ku apply Masters.. ditikam rah kelantan nun.. he he.

Its a plus point to have been able to live & work outside Sarawak for a while, only to come back again for housemanship and then off to see the little world of East msia once again. Having been in a boarding school in JB many years ago has allowed me to meet other students from other states in Msia too. Needless to say, I can proudly say that ‘I know someone’ in every state I go to. Hehehe..

So yes, I may have to move around a lot. perhaps at times living out of a suitcase but all this has not gone to waste. I believe I have seen enough to learn and appreciate the people and happenings around me. All for a life worthwhile.

Alhamdulilah…
